2 years & up. PolyForm Star Connectors turn a simple connection into many open-ended building possibilities. The 35 vibrant pieces fit into one another, allowing children to build horizontally or vertically and create new shapes as their ideas change.
Children can explore how a piece feels, rotate it, and find a place where it connects. These precise finger and hand movements invite fine motor practice and dexterity. Varied forms also encourage children to adapt their grip, recognize differences among shapes, and think through a construction challenge. Comparing colors and positions can make each design a chance to notice spatial relationships.
Activity cards are included as another starting point for creative building. An educator might invite children to describe a structure, make one change, and observe how the new arrangement differs. The connector set supports tactile exploration, critical thinking, and problem-solving without prescribing a single finished design.
